woo hoo! 2nd gen seats!
just got black leather 2nd gen seats in the 7! me like um. they make butt happy. butt no go slidey-slidey in corners.
Are they TII or N/A seats? The TII seats are grippy as hell.
to be honest with ya, i have no idea. i know they're 2nd gen, they're leather, and they've got one helluva set of bolsters on 'em. oh yeah, and i only paid $50 for 'em! works for me :D
i hate leather seats that make your ass slide all over,
especially in sport cars. buddy had leather in his camaro, man did it ever suck, g/f has leather in her woo,and the seats are kinda high not to mention the car has alot of body roll, 100mph on the freeway and take a turn, oh no hold on to something |
awww shit im in the back seat again
not as bad as those third gen racing seats i sat in....but your seats arent THAT cool rotorhead ;)
One guy retro fitted 3rd gen. seats for a first gen. He said it was fairly easy. Probably wouldn't be worth it. I'd bet those seats cost a pretty penny.
there is a guy on the forum selling the ones out of his third gen (r1 or r2, i cannot remember) for 300 a piece.. for that price, might as well go and buy some aftermaket ones
aw, hush, rx7 girl... those seats are kewl and you know it! but yeah, even though they're leather, the bolsters keep me from moving at all. the old burgundy checked velvets i had gave me a workout.... take a corner, break the center console with my elbow
you want a work out rotorhead. i have a set of mustang seats in my seven right now.. they are like couches.. so damn comfy, but you sure do slide.
There where some tan 3rd gen leathers on ebay for 150$ last week...
damn. wish i had seen that. my interior is black, so the color would not have matched, but it would have been worth it
