wont start
 

it is carbed. i do have spark and i checked for fuel what else, i changed my ignitors. i dont no where else to go

is it a no start condition or a no crank condition, if its a no crank check ur starter, either tap it or replace it, if its a no start check ur fuel pressure, or fuel pump fuse.

im geting gas i checked it at the carb inlet hose, and its squirting out. it wants to start i keep thinking its my fuses n my motor depmt. i checked them tho and they seem fine, i can take off each fuse and hear it working

If you are getting good spark and fuel, then check the plugs for fouling. It still boggles me how fast they can foul and fail to spark.

Yeah what he says. Also, after enough failed cranking, you might have lost oil coating and thus compression. Try squirting a few drops of oil down each primary barrel. Crank a few turns. Then floor it and keep it floored until it starts (do not pump). It might smoke upon startup, but it will clear up (after it turns your garage into 19th century London ;) )

i cant smell any gas on the leading plugs but there is gas going into the carby, :(

Verify that the plugs are sparking. If nothing has been done to the distributor to change the timing, then it may be flooded. Dump a couple caps full of motor oil down the small barrels in the car. Then try it again. If it starts then, let it warm up then remove the plugs and clean them off or replace them.

i am getting spark to all plugs :) how can i dump oil down the tubeswhen its a dcoe. it has enough compression, man i dont no now

Take a windex or similiar bottle and spray oil into the carb. Gas will wash the oiling off of the housings, reducing compression.

well i think im going to have to take off the front bolt to find out where to set up the timing since its a new motor. i hate to do that but i have no other way unless someone else nos a diff way :( :(

Do not take the front e-shaft bolt off. Why does everyone want to do this, it's not a piston engine. The link is in the the archives for a much easier, and safer way to find tdc.

well what do i put in the archive to find it

ok well i found it, it says put the clutch in. does that mean also in gear or just push the clutch in. and once i do that i can take off the bolt and find the 9 o clock position then put the bolt back on and take the clutch out and i should be fine, is this correct
