Will somebody help me coverting?

I wanna do away with my 79 stupid voltage regulator and use a later model alt with it built in. I need this done by sunday so please help. I've been studying the manual alot now and trying to figure it out... not sure yet though. This means i'm using the alt from later year and prolly junking the old one. Thanks!

Please somebody? I need to know about the WB output thats suposed to plug into the later models instead of a Voltage Regulator. There are 2 out puts from my stock harness, one for the choke relay, the other for the dummy light. Theres is one going out from the later model. What do I do, just jumper them together and go into the new alt?... Please any response apreciated. I looked at the FAQ but it only goes so far.

Im not familiar with the older SA's. Have you tried the SA22C mailing list? Theres alot of knoweldegeable help on that list. www.sa22c.org You can also search the database over there of previous messages. Over the years I think we've covered almost every topic there is.

It can be done without too much trouble. The later alts have a T shaped plug. It has two connectors. One goes tot he alt/gen light in the dash. The other goes to a switched source (only on when key is in the on/start position). You can jumper the six connector plug after removing the voltage regulator from the engine bay.

An ignitor plate is residing where the voltage reg used to be in my REPU.

OMG!! thank you so much, your the man. I did basically figure this out but it took me a long time. I was just gonna leave the other crap up plugged, but i took a bunch of but connectors today so i can just jumper them now!
