WOuld you consider selling just the 2 rear fenders?

unreality 03-01-03 04:29 PM

I never did understand why you'd want a widebody kit. I mean, besides looks if you like that kind of thing.

MIKE-P-28 03-01-03 05:01 PM

the mariah replaces the whole front bumper and lower valence. and its 1195. That body kit the fenders look too WIDE.

Sterling 03-01-03 07:03 PM

I'm interested in just the rear fenders, too.

mar3 03-01-03 07:44 PM

I just wish I had a spare thou lyin' around, but it'd take another $700 or so to get those backs on properly... :(

Magnus Berglund 03-02-03 04:58 AM

What type of wheels would fit this one??
I run 16x9 at the rear on my Mariah Mode 1 ... this looks like it need 16x12!
I think that the front will also need very wide wheels... It's goin to be very hard to stear!

Maybe for a racecar but not for street use..

That does look "too wide"

Directfreak 03-02-03 10:17 AM

Here's Luis's Widebody. His is Mixed and Matched.
He Hase a Mode 1 Front, and a GTO style Rear. The Back is EXTRMEMELY Wide.

The pictures may be a little deceiving, the kit is not as wide as the mode one. The rear flare is only 5 the mode one is 5.5 inches, we are working on a hub adapter as we speak that will allow you run a 5 bolt wheel and help take up the space. I could possibly arrange for just rear fenders for those that are interested. As for the fittment, the rear quarters when placed on line up directly beneath the the triangle rear window, the angle is such that molding is an absolute breeze, the front most part of the rear fender wraps around just inside the door sil, we have a few customers that have just adhered the kit in place and painted, no molding and you can not tell without super close inspection. Hope this helped.

Inside the door seal? Now that doesnt make too much sense. Theres only like 8mm of gap there between where the door closes and the wrap part of the quarter.

Anyways, its nice to see someone else offering some competition :)

Sterling 03-02-03 02:07 PM

How much for the rear panels?

hybridracer 03-02-03 02:38 PM

I believe he meant 'door sill' like 'window sill,' if it's any difference to you. Damn the english language.

Sterling, you gotta lay off the pipe for a bit. That's some funny shit in there though.

About widebody's, I dislike most of them because they leave the stock door which IMO looks goofy. I've seen a few kits that have a really wide side skirt to tie the front and rear sections in. Is there anything out there to fix the doors, like a cap or something, if there was I think I'd be more interested.

You do? ;) I agree, the picture would look better if they were chronologically correct, but it's still cool the way it is...
