whos running a bridgeport on the street.
Who is running a bridgy on the street.
I want to run a bridge but I am worried about having to drive in traffic with it. It is my understanding that drivability is pretty much non existent under 4000. I am talking about the small bridgeport available from mazdatrix. I am thinking a weber 48 or a 50. probably a 50. I dont think just cruising would be a problem but I am worried about having to go in traffic with the bridge. Also, what is the average life expectancy for this engine. |
yo, check your PM's

Get some 4.778's and forget gas mileage :D :D
pp13bnos used to run a peripheral on the street, hopefully he'll come in here and let us know what kind of mileage he got :) My street port only got about 9mpg in the city, in cold weather, never getting off the choke... so a bridgey is probably about that if not less. (Who cares?) |
I typically get 14-17mpg on the bridgeport I made. It seems to get pretty good milage if I don't acelerate past 6000rpm. Anything beyond that and I'm right at or below 14mpg. I DON'T live in a big city, so I know that helps.

My 12a pp gets about 10-12 mpg.

So how's that like in traffic? Stop and Go.
I imagine you'd be going through a bunch of clutches. |
I'm thinking about running a bridgey now. Wich one lasts longer again? A pp or a bp?

i thought it was just really large BP that cut into the rotor housings that fucked the engine. I am looking at a fairly small bridge port.
I am looking to produce about 200-220 hp. |
I got the same plan...about 210hp
