Whining at 5000rpms
 
My 86 n/a FC starts whining when i rev up to 5000rpms. In gear and in nutral. Nor sure why i just got it back grom the shop for cooling issues. Any ideas?

Take the alternator belt off and see if it stops. Could be the internal bearing.

The water pump can also make a funny noise when it does out.

Take it back to the shop and have them look at it. They may have done something dumb that can be undone easily. Only they know what they touched/changed.

Could be as simple as drive belts are TOO tight for whatever reason...the less you operate it in this condition the better.
