Hey Denny,
You got the dimensions on that wing by chance? and if not... next time ya got a tape measure w/ ya by your car if you could please grab the dimensions that would be great!

Thanx in advance... az_lynx....

Denny 09-10-01 03:13 PM

No problem, Lynx Guy,

Width across is 55 inches, risers are 10 inch, bi-level wing width is 8 inches, side-runners are 11 inches.

As that Dude says in Robo-cop..."IIIII, Like it!"

Denny

Thanks a bunch.... how much fab work did you have to do to get it to fit?

I know I asked before... but how much do you think it would cost? and where you got it from ... they ship?

I really like that wing... and that along w/ my wide body kit and stuff I'm doing to my 85 will look nice I think (and thats all that matters ;) ) I wanted to know the dimensions because I'm looking at a carbon fiber one and wanted to see if it was about the same size.

My workbench is almost done.... I can't wait to get the rex in the garage and start her restoration process :D

thanks again...

Well, Pilgrim,
It's an aluminum Arospeed gt3. ordered mine from speed and style, in Miami. Call 1-800-998-9497, and ask for Fernando. You can tell him that you learned about the wing from Denny at the 7th Heaven Garage. Cost with shipping was around $200.

I had to trim the base of both risers, cutting away about a quarter of the base. I also cut them on a slight angle to accomodate the slant of the rear hatch. Of course, you have to drill two new bolt holes in each riser. When you trim the rubber base mount, place the left over under the rear of the riser so to take up the slack created by the curve of the short rear deck. Watch your angle of attack. I suggest about 5 degrees, and no more than 10.

Here's mine. It's a Wings West Super Style.

I am also quite fond of the super style. In fact that was the only wing that I thought about putting on my old 84 when I had it but never bought the wing. I fear the look of the wing on a wide rearend tho.... I have a feeling that the GT wing will look better. Thanks for the pic tho!... and btw... NICE reX!

I got it from NOPI. I think I paid around $200. It's been a couple of years and the mind isn't quite what it used to be.
