Where to buy wide 13" tires

Trying to to get some street tires for some wide 13 inch rims. When my build is done, I will have about 400 horses at the wheels I need some rubber to put this down if I hope to drive on the street.

The tire sizes currently on the rims are 225/50 13 on the rear and 225/45 13 on the front.

The only tires that I can find that size are Hooser's, but I do not want to be running those on the street.

Does anyone know of a similar size that may work or where I can buy street tires in these sizes? Thanks!

Kumho ECSTA V700 235/45 x 13

They are racing tires but they come with 7/32 of tread and have a tread pattern that works pretty good in the wet.

Sounds like its time to move up to 15" wheels.

Are you looking to run with the stock body (i.e. no widebody)? If so, putting down 400whp through anything that will fit under the stock rear fenders is going to be next to impossible. I *think* the widest you can fit under the stock rear fenders is a 225 or a 235 section width tire, which means you'd have to run a drag radial if you ever wanted it to hook up. My suggestion: Get some 15x7 wheels and put on some reasonable tires and deal with the wheel spin.

hey mikeric, i have not seen a decent or wide street tire for a 13inch wheel in a long time. its almost to the point that there are more competition tires than street tires.

htye do have 225/45's from Toyo in there R888's as well as 205/60. then there's the RA-1 which is a more streetable tire with a 205/60

My race tires are R888 and they are on 15". My car is primarily a track car, but it is registered as an antique, so I can drive it on the street. It is currently sitting on the stock rims, as the obviously, but I also have a set of Diamond Racing wheels with Hoosers of the above sizes on them.

What I will probably do, is just use the Diamond Racing wheels for... racing. I was trying to get something wider so that this beast is drivable on the street too.

For those concerned, the fenders are rolled, and the above listed tires/wheel combo has been run on this car. The drive train is NOT stock, it is a built and ported TII. I am running a standalone with 1600cc secondaries, FMIC, and BNR stage 4 with a 12psi wastegate. This car is not used for drag racing either.
