Wheel/tire combo setup for 1st gen

I have an 1st gen with a T2 conversion. Currently running 15x7 Riken mesh rims. I'm going to be purchasing tires soon and would like some feedback on the combo I have chose. Basically want to know if its a good combo for what I want it for and if having r rated tires on the rear will affect handling at all.

Car is also lowered 1.5 inches and is usage is mainly aggresive street driving and very occasional drag.

The rear tires will be Kumho V70A's size 225/45/15 and the front will be Falken azenis 205/50/15

Thanks for any input guys.

sounds like a good set up. falkens grip like no other. so you will get nice turning around corners. if you want to drag, (street race) you might want to get some nitto 555r's they are basicly cheater slicks. super soft and sticky yet still a streetable tire.

The rules in the first Gen section clearly state:

Anyon claiming to have a Turbo FB must show pictures and give details of the whole setup before any information can be given to him

That rule is in there alright, you can take my word for it.
You don't have to double check. Trust me. :)

I recommend that you keep all 4 tires to be the same brand at the very least. Even Better would be to have the exact same tire on all 4 rims, so the car will handle properly.

If nothing else, never use smaller tires on your rear wheels. And the size difference between 205 and 245 is going to cause a dramatic change in your handling. BTW, how can you even fit 245 tires on a 7in rim? I have 8 inch wheels on my Xtreme, and they're a 235 stock. I have 245/50/16 on it now, though. (Bridgestone Potenza RE-910s)

I said 225 not 245 ;) and fitment on a 15x7 rim will not present a problem

Ya there were a couple pics of my car floating around a few years ago. The conversion was completed in late 2000 early 2001. I dont have any recent ones but I promise to post some up really soon.

Do you have pics of the manifold? I still haven't even got a turbo yet because I got fucked on taxes this year. Hopefully soon ;) I was thinking about the HKS cast mani but I want to see yours also like we talked about many times before. I also just want to make sure it fits properly and everything. No concrete decisions have been made. We'll talk soon.

And I'm interesting in your rack and pinion project although I would like to see some more progress and a bunch of people running it with feedback before I would consider it. My steering box isn't mint...but it's not too bad either.
