Whats the best exhuast setup for my rx7
 

Hey i just got myself a series 3 rx7, It has a 12a bridgeport motor in it. Currently it got extractors, into what look like 2.1/4 in pipe, over the diff into this small flat over muffler, on some 3in oval looking it, but the guy i bought it off did it. And it dodgy as all hell. it's like press bent but like cut weld cut weld cut weld all around the bends. Plus it sounds like shit, it's got the blep blep to it, but sounds really tinny and crap. So i am goin to replace it, And would like anybody's input on what system will not only make it peform the best, but also sounds pretty damn tough. without be eardrum blowing. Thanks guys

There's not much point telling him to buy RB when they cost over $2000 here and there's any number of exhaust shops or rotary specialists that can bend up a custom system that will work just as well or better depending on the mufflers used.

Brendan, you want to run 2inch extractors merging into a 2.5inch pipe over the diff with mandrel bends and thick walled pipe all the way. You can either run a resonator in each primary with a single rear muffler or one muffler before the diff and one after. All mufflers should be straight through and stainless steel packed for the best performance and longevity. If your in south-east Queensland the best bet would be to talk to one of the rotary shops like Dyson or Maz-fix.

Here's my 2 cents worth....

The best exhaust setup is the one that YOU like best and gives YOU the best bang for YOUR buck.....

For me, right now, it's a stock pipe, gutted cat, and the stock muffler. That'll change soon enough though, and then it will be the best for ME! :D

Thanks revhead, aleast ya answer my question with some explained answers. Not just a brand name. Yeh im in brisvegas to. Redhill. And Kentetsu Remember that 2000 aussie dollars. Which is nearly which the price over there, but still bloody expensive.
