What Type Of Port?

I got a new project car. 84 SE. Over christmas break I plan on rebuilding it. I am going to go with a port, I know that, but I cant figure out what I want. It will mostly be used for the street. Im not really big into the drifting! Looks cool, but no where to do it safely!

So my question to yall is what type of port do you think I should go with. I have a car with a streetport already. So im looking for more than that!

the hell with that it would badass to have a high power NA rotary, but I'f you wat somthing to topspeed get a PP with a T-51R

See I thought about the turbo and port. My engine is a 6 port though, so they say that these aren't the best to run a turbo set up on. Should I try to trade this 6 port for a 4 port? Or should I say F it and stay with the 6.

gsl-se housing
gsl-se front cover
gsl-se oil pan
12a irons
s5rotors
s6 corner seals
half bridge port it
turbo later or use low comp rotors and turbos now

riceburner1r2001 11-16-05 01:14 PM

why not bridge the 6 port like a half bridge :smiley309

See the more I read and talk to people. It seems that my best choice would be to get a 4 port.

This will be only my 2 rebuild I dont want to be getting too high tech just yet.

To reduce costs and be able to go in stages, I would streetport "all ports", add pineapple inserts and machine the insert/sleeve combo to match the streetport and function correctly. Then go with S5 TII rotors and flywheel. You only give up a liitle compression and will be able to add a turbo or supercharger later.

OOOOOOOh and porting, you can do quite a bit with the 6 ports.

thafox 11-16-05 09:31 PM

damnit where can i buy 6port porting templates lol, im lookin for bp or street port one's

MattG 11-17-05 01:03 AM

So far I like 84stock's idea the best. As a college kid and limited funds at some points in life. Staging is a good thing! I already have another 7, so I can always enjoy one even when my project car is down. Plus it can double as a parts car!!!
