what ratio is my ring and pinion???
 

Hey everybody.
I found this gear set in my garage. I must have picked it up a while back.
Anyway I am not sure if it is a stock gear set or lower.
Does anyone know what number of teeth should be on the ring if it is a stock gear set????
Any info you could point me to would be great.

You could always make some marks and turn the pinion until the ring makes one full revolution.It wont be super precise,but theres enough difference to be able to tell if its a GSL 3.90 or a GSL-SE 4.07(ish).

Is it limited slip or are there visible spider gears in the carrier?

count the teeth on the ring and on the pinion, then divide the small number into the big number, that will give you your gear ratio.

all it is is the ring and pinion, there is no differential.
they are just out loose.
