what parts do i need - diff rebuilt

ok, my diff needs to be rebuilt, as the lsd is tired and the end seals leak. The question is, what parts do I need to do the work (my buddy who is a certified mech will do the work) So far, I know I need-

New wheel bearings
New end seals
New Friction material for LSD

Do I need all of the washers that is listed in the parts catalog? some of those washers looked to be very expensive...

and am I missing anything?

Thanks,

Alvin

Youll need all 4 differential bearings/races and a crush sleeve to do the job right.Better add a pinion seal as well.
Your buddy should have the marking compound, dial micrometer and torque wrenches to do the job right.I recommend GM yellow marking compound....it kicks the crap out of Prussion Blue or White Lithium grease for setting up gears.

For the LSD,you should replace the cone springs as a matter of neccesity. The discs are another matter. You need to measure all the discs, but you can get away with only replacing what is worn below spec.Usually, not all the friction discs are below spec, and you can buy oversized discs to tighten up the pack,if only a couple of the stockers are worn thin.

Cool Thanks! Those friction material is way more expensive than I expected, oh well. I'm sure he's got all the tools, just a matter of having the right parts...
