What is needed to swap GS rear end with GSL-SE rear end

Looking at a GSL-SE rear end to put in my 83 rx7 and was wondering what all is needed to be done to bolt in the new rear end? And if i was to get the front suspension off that gsl-se car would it bolt right into the 83 chassis with no issue? Looking at learning to understand what I would need to do. Thanks ahead of time!!

You may have a drive shaft incapatibilty depending on the build date of an 83 car. In 83 the axle end of the drive shaft where it bolts to the diff flange changed dimensions. So your GSL-SE rear end may or may not need a different drive shaft. Otherwise the swap should be pretty painless. Your 83 is already disk brake right? If not then that may require some different hardware as well since the GSL-SE is definitely disc.

The front should just work, but there may have been a change to the strut mount hat but those are cheap and easy to replace if you are already swapping in the front bits.

not really sure but the master may be different. think i read somewhere the part numbers were different. proportioning valve may be different as far as how works, different springs maybe?

and u should be able to use the SE shaft.
