You can get the cups (if we're talking about the same thing, the plastic part behind the inside door handle) at mazdatrix. I got two recently.....

Cody 04-01-03 08:44 AM

by "door cups" they mean the part of the armrest, where you put your fingers in, to pull the door closed as you sit down.

They're pretty cheap plastic....I imagine it would be next to impossible to find good condition ones at a junkyard. They're only like $6.00 at a Mazda dealership???? If so, I know where I'm going.

And, here is a picture of the Targa band:

Terrh 04-01-03 09:36 AM

it's too bad they're aren't any true targa FBs, that would rock! I'd buy one in a heartbeat, targa cars own.

FB parts are generally pretty easy to find, I don't know why you guys have so much difficulty!

as far as interiors go, I doubt I'll have much trouble there. Maybe if my dashboard breaks or something, but thats all of my interior that's left, so ..... :)

no door cups here :)

Well isn't it supposed to turn into a WTB thread when someone says they found a junkyard with rexes that haven’t been completely pillaged over for parts?

Yes.. Suspension mounting brackets are 20mm lower than any other year...

Reduces tail happiness.

The only MAJOR difference between GSL and GSL-SE suspension, aside from bolt pattern and gear ratio.

Between two different yards here, I found the following

1980 (All black, but seats removed... Coulda been a Leather Sport model...) Automatic though :puke: Air cleaner was left open and rain in the carb....

1983 Fucked up chunky silver paint job... Stick... Also rain in the carb... Took the ignitors.. Dizzy was gonna be close to $200... Fuck that. I'll get a new one for that.

That's it... Can't find any 1984-1985's... None with power steering either... They've got a huge network of yards, all under the same management, so they have access to each other's inventories... Expensive as hell too... Fuck em.
