What leak is this?!
 

So i have what seems to be an oil leak. My friend told me it looks like its around the oil cooling lines in the front of the car (on the side where the battery is). but the thing that gets me is if i have an oil leak how come whenever i check my oil it always says full?
and the other weird thing is that it only leaks on start up.

do any of you guys have any ideas whats up with it?

First off, your oil should not always be full (unless you're pre-mixing)! Your Oil Metering Pump (OMP) should be using engine oil to lubricate the engine (through the stock carb). If you aren't pre-mixing and your engine oil is always full....you may have a problem. You should be using a certain amount of oil all the time...
As far as where it may be coming from, I'll let the more knowledgeable members answer that one.

Sounds like you have either a 79-82 year model with a front mount oil cooler. It is common that the bungs over time will crack and leak due to all the heating expansion and cooling contractions when you run your engine.
Also the factory lines do wear and crack also. Inspect your hoses and if you need new ones you can go to your local hydraulics shop and they should make you some custom length lines or you can buy braided steel lines from Racing Beat or Mazdatrix. Most likely other forum members have some used oil cooler lines laying around that they will give or sell to you.
A new oil cooler will cost you $$$. You have a few options for this too. You can take it to a competent aluminum welder and have them repair the crack (some might not take the job because they do not want to be liable if the repair fails and your engine dies due to lack of oil). There's also a place where you can send your oil cooler to be reparied at www.oilcoolers.com. The quote from them for me was around $60 or so. You can upgrade to a better designed 2nd gen oil cooler which board member Trochoid has a write up for.

i actually have an 85. or atleast thats what the owner told me when i bought it. hmmm i havent had the time yet to check out all my hoses but i think i'll try to do it within the next few days
