what do you prefer?

what do you prefer a holley red fuel pump or the holley blue? and what is the difference between the two? thanks!!!!!

What are you planning on doing with it? I have a holley red, and you shouldn't need any more than that. It flows as much as any carb will swallow and is cheaper. Plus, you don't need a regulator with it if you run a holley carb. The blue flows a ton at a very high PSI.

Are those my only choices?

I prefer a Carter. :)

I have the summit brand (they use name brand stuff and put there name on it and sell it cheaper)it's like the same as a Holley and comes with an actual Holley regulator for like 100ish shipped from summit. I have it on mine and works great.
I actually just looked and its on sale 10 bucks cheaper than when I bought mine.

sorry for the late reply i don't have internet access at my house... but yea i have a holley red but it went out on me so someone referred me to a carter fuel pump... with a stock 13b would it better to run a 6 psi or a 8 psi? carter doesnt make 7 psi... and if possible can you guys post up pics of you fuel pump setups? please....thank you in advance...

Super82 03-18-09 03:40 PM

Once again it depends on your carb what PSI you should run. If you are running a nikki carb then it is supposed to be like 3.5, where as a holley is like 6. I don't know about any other carb.

for now i got a weber 45dcoe but gonna move up to a 48...

RX-7 Chris 03-18-09 04:12 PM

I would go with the 8 psi and get a regulator.

PercentSevenC 03-18-09 05:00 PM

^ Same.
