What do i put in my differential??
 
ive heard tranny oil and gear oil. I have an 82 5 speed manual. THANKS!!

Gear oil. 80-90 weight. Plus Ford friction modifier (check the LSD link in my sig for info).

Generally speaking, put synthetic gear lube/ gear oil (80-90 w) in both the manual transmission and the differential.

royal purple and redline seem to get high marks as well

i have used NEo and it works well. just make sure its a GL-5 equivelant. most lubes have a limited slip additive of some sort.
