and how do I loosen it?

Air Conditioning Compressor...

In order to loosen it, you have to take out those bolts... just remember righty-tighty lefty-loosey.

What, Fords don't have ac? :D

You can see the 2 bolts on top, there should be another 2 underneath on the ears. Simple.

Looks like an AC compressor. Are you trying to remove it or change the belt? If I remember correctly its easier to remove the bolts that hold the bracket to the engine then take everything off at once.

I loosened them all but it didn't come loose thats why i asked...

If you just want to move it, you should be able to... it looks like there is some flexible hose, so you could probably inch it over if you need to. If you take it off, remember that its running R12 and will cost a lot to recharge.

damn I type slow, there was 0 answers when I started

Did you loosen the tensioner and remove the belt? If every fastener is loose then it should break free... try tapping it with a rubber mallet.

Yeah, and you still didn't bring anything useful to the thread. :rlaugh:

EDIT: Crap... nevermind... I didn't see that you posted something earlier.

If you are trying to move it out of the way, the 2 lower ones need to come out, as do the top ones.

The comp is usually pretty tightly wedged in the bracket.

Damn i'm a retard haha.. I figured it out.

I have the new belt on. Now I need to worry about why it gets eatin up!
