O.K. for one I have searched and I have found some threads that tells to do it but not any on how to do it? If anyone can help give me a breakdown on how to do it step by step I would really appreciate it. If you can give pictures of finished product that would be nice also if you could show us what you welded and where to. Once complete we could add this to the FAQ's.

Why do you want to lock the timing? There's not much benifit unless you're running big overlap or a turbo.

To do it you need to pull the guts out of the dizzy so you can get to the advance weights located right at the bottom. Then you simply just remove the springs or if you want to be thorough you can tack the weights in the fully advanced position.

Yep, you really should tack them in the fully advanced postion because if the welds ever break, at least the engine won't super-advance itself and blow apex seals or whatever.

I will be putting a turbo in my 7 and already went though what you are going through. I took a couple pics for those in need.

Ok the last three pictures in the album. "A" goes into "B" all the way to the outside edge. take the "B" part off very carefully, without moving the weights. Tack weld them in place. When finished locked distibuter looks like "C". Hope that helps
