Wanted: Cruise control switch

i know this does not belong here, but does anyone have a spare 84-85 grey or black cruise control type switch. One of the little guys that go down by the cig lighter?

This is just a push-button on-off switch that you can buy at Radio Shack - it's nothing really special.

Do you just want it to match the rest of your interior? I leave mine on all the time, so have never really used it.

Reply back if you have it taken apart - I would think it would be easy to switch over to another type that performs the same purpose. HTH,

I think that I have a spare one that you can have. I will have to repair it as the previous owner chopped up the wiring. I replaced it with one from the wrecking yard. I will check tonight and let you know. I would be willing to give it to you for free if you want it. Just give me a couple bucks for shipping.

yeah, i am going to modify it, so wiring is not a big deal. Basically, i want everything to match. I made one for my fog lights, taking the little window with the Cruise Control out and replacing it with one that says "Fog Lamps" Now i need another for my Clarion FM modulator. If anyone knows where to get the little bulbs that go inside, id love to know, as one of mine burnt out. Thanks a lot guys

I checked out the switch. I appears that the metal plate that makes contact between the two points isn't being held correctly. There must be a piece of plastic behind is that is broken/missing. I went ahead and soldered the wiring back. You can still have the switch if you want it. You would probably have to glue the metal plate in place to make it work though. I am not sure if the bulbs are good or not. I can try to test them tomorrow.

I should have a complete switch out of an 84. I'll look for it tonight.
