I don't think anyone here has tried to put a vortech blower on their car. It would totally work though. Size one "small" like what goes on a 2.5 litre 4 cylinder engine. Do your fabbing up of the bracket because you know they don't make one for the 12a....then if you really feel inclined pipe the blower through a front mount intercooler and then blow-thru a "boosted prepped" carb.... Make sure you have a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator and a fuel pump capable. (regulator that adds 1 psi fuel pressure to every pound of boost pressure above initial fuel pressure)

I would think this setup would be more powerful than the camden blower setup. Probably 200-250 HP on the right setup.

I was thinking this v-5 vortech...says its good for 1.6-4l "high revving" engines.

If I can find a used one I think it could be done relatively cheap.

They made a kit like that back in the 80's. Bad part is it kept blowing the bearings up, because it was a kit modified from a foxbody mustang. Those cars do not rev as high as a rotary does, especially modified.

I know of one that worked pretty well. It was a 12A in a RX3 drag car. I cant remember all the details, but I do still have an engine pic. It has been done before. I just think it woudn't be that good for a street car.
