Been eyeing this kit for a while as I love the look of the imsa kit that Mazda offered. But I can only ever find this one crappy picture. Google and the forum search has come up with jack squat.

It looks good but the side skirts look weird, just looking for some better pics.

Nobody, 9 months?

I trust this is what the side skirts look like

Thanks for the additional pic, I love the front, but I'm not too thrilled on the side skirts. Might go with extreme dimension on the sideskirts.

That front looks just like the new IMSA front I have stored away. I am very glad to see someone FINALLY duplicated it. The side skirts are a total fail though.

I have the extreme dimensions LM-1 kit form ebay. The sideskirts I got were to the GP-1 kit. I liked the GP-1 skirts better so I lucked out. YMMV

Be careful when it comes to "off brand" body kits. I've read about some nightmare fitment/return issues...

.

Very true. My sideskirts dont seem like they will fit worth a damn whereas the bumper attachments line up very well. OTOH my wife's FC kit all fit extremely well.

yeah the body kit is nice, but those side skirts of awful.

really updates the car

I am very experienced in composites. And I don't have much to work with as far as kits and styles so ill just have to deal with it. Almost all body kits require a lot of fitment. Personally, the FB should be cake compared to kits I've installed on newer "smooth body" cars.

I actually bought that kit last year for my 81. I finally finished bolting up my front end recently and opened the box yesterday to test fit. The side skirts that came with the kit are nothing like they show in the picture. They have a nice look to them but unfortunately don't fit worth shit. Too short and won't fit on without carving out and butchering my rocker panels, and that's not going to happen. The front and rear both fit nice though.

Needless to say, I'm now looking into options for side skirts that don't require chopping off my rocker panels. I was looking at the Extreme Dimensions M-1 or the GP-1. Any feedback as to whether these are relatively easy to install or require serious modifications would be very much appreciated. I think I'm leaning more to towards the M-1. It looks like it would be a better match with the VIS kit that I have.

Sorry for the hijack lol. I like that GP-1. Doesn't someone else make/sell that kit? It looks familiar.

I do like the GP-1 side skirts, but from the picture, it looks like the rocker panels may have to be cut out to make room for the indent towards the back. I'd like to hear from anyone that has installed either of these two models.

Hmm, I have a line-up on an IMSA dam, but this kit looks solid - like you said the single piece is a nice touch.
