on the verge of a serious breakdown...

Ok, so last sunday night I got hit prety badly in the rear of my car. I had to leave town for a week so I got the car home and left it in my back yard. Now, I just went out to try and start it but Im not getting anywhere.... Tried cranking it over for way too long, with the choke, without the choke, with a few pumps of the gas and just on its own. It seems like it wants to go every once and a while so i figured it might be flooded, pulled the plugs out a few times to clear out the gas but it didnt seem too badly filled with gas. Wore out the battery, so I pulled up a car to jump it...Keep trying and nothing. I checked the distributor cap+rotor, plug wires, and connections on the ignitor...I cant see any problems... I know its getting gas because I cranked it over long enough to see a bit of a gassy mist from the exhaust..Im prety sure its getting spark because itll fire a little bit every once and a while but just wont get going.
This has me stressed out beyond belief....If anyone has any ideas as to what could have happened please help...This is killing me here....

<_< well is it carb or not?

its a 12a w/ nikki

I tried starting fluid but that didnt help at all, So I think it could be a ignition issue. I just didnt want to rule out fuel yet...

ok well i had an issue like this my car ran after i got it back from the shop and one day it just stopped running it tryed to start i went though all the electrics and everything too....come to find out one of my carbs was stuck....so you should check that.

If you are getting fuel mist out the exhaust and the plugs are wet, it may be flooded. Have you checked for spark?

Pull the plugs, its probally going to be really plugged up with fuel. Unplug the ignitors and crank the engine with the plugs out (MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG THE IGNITORS - fires suck). Dry the plugs right up, and then try again.

Your just flooded. Do what Dan_s says and dry those plugs out and turn it over with the fuel pump off/plugged/disconnnected until its all dryed up. Then put the plugs back in and fire it up. Probably was caused by starting it cold and turning it off before it warmed up a few times. If you start it, let it get good and warm before you turn it off or you'll flood out a lot of the times.
