so I tried to search, and all I pull up is garbage.

Is there a way to do this w/o Re-Speeds kit?

also, does this move the wheel placement in anyway?

I have slotted FC/TII discs with FD/S6 calipers on machined stock hubs. Custom bracket was made and using braided brake lines. Pretty sure it cost me a fair bit more thn RE-Speed kit though....

well what I want to do is swap it all over, and get the bolt patern, but from what I see they have cones for the bearings to sit on. I don't like that idea.

What have cones for the bearings to sit on? All spindles will have a taper to them, so it's like a super-skinny cone, but the bearings run on a cylindrical face. Besides that, plenty and plenty of cars have gone down the road further than you will with no problems.

What exactly has you concerned? The respeed kit just puts FC hubs on an FB spindle and have the right bracketry for the big FC brakes. Respeed's not doing anything that's inferior to a Mazda design, they just apply the later brakes to the earlier struts and they do it the same way Mazda did.

Well, the thing that doesn't sit well with me is from what little info on the site says/shows. the cones just sit on the spindles. So whats to stop the cone from spinning on the spindle? I see no provision for locking it into place.

The "cone" Spacer That You Are Refering To Is Machined To Be Pressed On At A Smaller Inner Diamater (not By Much) When Its On There Is No Moving It. Mine Had To Be Heated Up And The Use Of A Press To Get It On. Its Locked On For Good.

Becides If Your Bearings Are Good Then There Would Be No Reason For It To Spin Even If You Had A Loose Fitting One.

Re-speed Kit Is Very Well Thought Out And I Doubt That You Can Make A Similar Kit For That Price And Use Stock Mazda Parts.

Take my word for it as well, once that spacer is pressed on, the is no moving it.

I have the kit and I bought it just for those bearing spacers!
