turbo 12a

well i just dropped off my s5 turbo manifold at a machine shop. they are going to match it to the 12a flange i have.next week it will be in, then i have to tow it to a muffler shop and have them bend all of the 3inch piping to the intercooler and then the exhaust too. one thing im not sure on what to do though is the turbo has an internal wastegate. i have an external one out of a volvo. where i also got the intercooler from. id like to use the external so i can upgrade in the future quite easily. and it seems like it would be easier to hook my greddy profec b spec 2 boost controller up to. does anyone know how i could remove the internal wastegate without messing anything up?

To run an external Wastegate, you need a exhaust line just to it, with the correct flange. Welding or drilling the stock 13BT manifold isn't easy, and will look like crap, as well as perform like crap.

Before you spend the dough, look around ebay , or PM me.

I can get you a nice, rounded, tubed turbo exhaust manfold for that 12A, with an external Wastegate flange for about 325 plus shipping. - Brand new.

Well, You just said that you sent your manifold to get the 12a flange welded on. Did you send the waste gate too? Thats the part that the waste gate is supposed to be attached to.

The internal waste gate would be easy to hook your boost contoller to as long as the turbo set up still has the actuator.

the manifold looks good. i didnt weld the flange on i just had the manifold matched to it. used it as a template. i can weld an attatchment to go to the external wastegaste easy enough. could any send me a picture or drawing of how the wastegate should be attatched? the wastegate i have has a connection tube on the bottom, on the side, and a vacume on the top.
