transmission rebuild kit?
 

looking for a complete overhaul kit for my gsl-se transmission and i'm wondering if the gsl-se transmission was any different than the base model transmissions. Found a kit on ebay that offers rebuild kits for years 1981-1985 but does not specify that it works for a gsl-se....will this rebuild kit work with my tranny or should i keep looking for a gsl-se kit? anyone know of a place that sells these rebuild kits?

If I had to guess I would say it'd work, as this rebuild kit states it work for the 81-85 12a, as well as the 86-92 13b. It seems as though mazda made them pretty universal, but hopefully the se transmission isn't a special exception.

Don't specify a 13B/SE kit but you can call them and ask...

the only thing different about the SE's internal trans is a different 5th gear. otherwise its an identical trans internally and unless you are replacing worn or broken gears the kits should interchange.
