Tranny - Engine Mesh

Ok, I am going to go pull the 12A 6 port from the junk yard tomorrow granted they haven't crushed the car in the last two days or have pulled the engine. It's a stick shift. After I unbolt the Tranny from the engine block, will there be anything else holding it together. I'm not talking about the engine mounts or stuff like that, but just between the engine and tranny.

It's in a 1980 from the looks of it.

NIIIIIIIIICE, you'll have to pull the tranny off first, unless you just keep it bolted on and pull it with the motor. :D REBUILD THAT SUCKER AND HAVE YOU A RARE NICE ASS MOTOR! WOOT

All you really need is the intake manifold. :D

You can make your own with GSL-SE endplates with the rest of a standard 12A. Then you need a 12A intake manifold that has the actuators...

The intake has been removed but the block is still there. I could always buy a new manifold for it. I belive it was junked due to the igniton system. I opened up the box that the ignitors hook to and it was burned up so I think the engine is probaly still good. I was thinking about selling it to. What is so much better about the 6 port then the 4 port. Of course, 2 more ports more flow. But how much more over the other? They also had 2 13B's at the yard

Don't forget to change over to 12A stationary gears if you build your own 6 port 12A. There's a 5mm difference and you'll kill your rotor bearings if you don't swap 'em.

I'm sure you'll find a buyer quickly amoung us.

What ae stationary gears?
