trailing ignition not firing :(( 85 12a

I had this same problem a few months ago and it kinda just went away but looks like its back for good now :( my car seems to run fine a little rich but my trailing ignition has stopped firing completely nothing from the coil or the plugs and the coil packs are fairly new :/ any help is appreciated. Oh and also I can be driving and hit a bump and my tach will start working which tells me my trailing is firing not sure if that helps?

Check for 12 volts on the trailing coil, it's usually the coil with the blue covers on the plug wire.

10-1 though, you have a bad ignitor. You could swap them but if something killed it, you don't want to kill another.

Every single time you go to a P&P salvage yard, grab as many ignitors as they have cars.

You could just pull the trailing plug from the dizz and see if you get any spark by holding it a little bit from a ground. I would be very surprised to see that is the problem but WTH?

check and replace the trailing ignotor. the tach runs off of the trailing ignition. if its not bouncing, check the ignitor first.

Stock ignition sucks big time, even when its working right. There are other ways
to make a great ignition.
