no i didnt put mine in for the fronts. it fits pretty snug.

I didnt install mine either and was just wondering if it was needed.

If you're talking about the washers that my bro's GSL-SE needed when he had some KYBs installed up front, it needed them.

I think GSL-SE had longer struts to make up for the slightly higher weight. Is that correct?

if your talking about the front struts, then yes i used one per side to prevent the top collar nut from bottoming out on the top of the strut tube. if you read the instructions they give you two per, and use whatever you need so you're able to torque em down. i don't remember what the torque specs are, but everyone just uses a pipe wrench and gives it a good heave-ho
