Well, I search and research info for everything else about my car, so why not ask you people on this note?

What kind of everyday driving tires are your favorite for your fb?

What wheel size are you talking about? For 13 x 5.5 (the stock + wheels), it doesn't really matter, tires are tires in that size, in my humble opinion.

I'm running 205/50 15s on 15 x 7 Enkeis. Pretty sure they are Kumho Ecstas.

I just ordered Kumho Ecsta SJT's...they haven't arrived yet so I can't give a personal review on them, but I read and was told a lot of good things about them.

My 7 has the Summitomo Saxios on it and they work well.

Honda has Kumho on it.

Both work good.

In reply to $100TT, We're talking the stock 13's or 14's for those with a gsl-se... for us lowly 7 owners that don't have tons of money for new rims. My question Is more oriented toward: What's the best bang for buck in your opinions?

If you have 13 inch wheels then get the Sumitomo HTR 200, if you have bigger wheels then there is a lot of option ex. Falken Azenis, Yokohama ES100, Goodyear Eagle F1 G3-D3... The list goes on...

+1 for the Yokohamas AVS ES100's
ride great, grip good for their tread life, and have a very predictable break away. You better have some other tires for driving in the wet though, they get sketchy.

I have a set of Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's on my 84 gsl and so far I like them. I only have about 1000 miles on them but they show no signs of wear and the traction is great. The low profile makes for a slightly rougher ride.

Falken Ziex ZE502 205/50-15's on my Ronal 15 X 7 wheels, and BFG Comp T/A 205/60-13 on my stock wheels.
Will be going to Kumho Ecsta SPT on the 15's shortly, as the Falkens I have are nearing the end of their treadlife. Funny how 20K miles, and a few open track and auto-x events will do that...............

Yokohama Advans, their on a konig rewind 14 by 7 and the tires are 185/60r/14, not all that wide but they handle amazing and with the konig rewinds nothing bigger will fit, enless u have flairs

I don't recommened the Advans for daily driving, i have those for my track tires...

Sumitomo HTR200. Not M&S rated but a great summer tire, and cheep. Great grip in the dry and in rain. :bigthumb:

Another vote for the Sumitomos.... However, if you want an BADASS tire.. hehe... Toyo Proxes RA1? hehe....

Ya i got the advans because they were on the Konig Rewinds when i bought them. They were brand new. They arent the greatest if your going slow, especially with no power steering, but wow do they handle amazing. They suprisingly do very well in rain to.

My arm is sore everytime i drive with it in the streets.

i like my hankook rs2's. i have 15x7 with 205/50 right now. next set will be 225/45/15 rs2's

What's the offset on those Konigs? On my 15x7 mesh rims (Enkei) I run 205/45 in the front and 225/50 in the rear with absolutely no problems.
BTW, for those wondering, I only run the skinnier tires up front for ease of turning, since it's my daily driver.
I run some YOKO AVID and am nothing but pleased with them. I used to run the same line of tire on my plus wheels, and was convinced of their goodness enough to buy them again.

Another vote for the Sumitomo HTR 200's. I ran two sets on my '79 and they have amazing wet-weather traction. Their dry performance is more than adequate, but the sidewall is somewhat mushy. For a street tire that costs less than $50 a corner, you really can't go wrong.

If you really want hardcore summer performance though, nothing beats a nice set of R tires. I've been running a set of Yokohama A048's, they've got a good tread pattern for rain driving and the medium compound wears really nicely. I ran a set of slightly used A048's for the last 1/3 of my Solo II season and co-drove my car at the regional event, putting the equivalent of 32 timed regular season runs on the car in a single weekend. The tires held up beautifully and are just on the wearbars now. They're slower than the soft compound Kumhos but since I'm not a regional caliber driver, I'm more concerned with durability than ultimate grip that comes with a stupid-fast wearing tire.

I run either Advan A048's for full on grip, or my all time faverite tire for the $$ Falken RT-615's roughly 75 tire for 205/40/16's.
The falkens feel great all the time, even pushed past the limit, very controlable, the advan's require quick hands. They like to be driven just part there limit(little to no counter steer) any more and they will snap back on you, which makes for a hairy ride. Plus they are 200 each, and have 60 tread wear.

i just replaced my potenza re71's with some M/S jobbies since winter is almost here, but the bridgestones were great. very predictable breakaway, good treadwear, and good traction in the rain.

im currently running bridgestone bt70s on mine and i love them. previous owner had some woosung tires on but they had no grip and just sucked in general. i like the bridgestones for my stock rims. good grip and cheap =)

the konigs are a -9 offset

I've got 205/50/15 Michelin Pilot's. They are smooth quiet, and have pretty decent grip in wet and dry. A great all around ire for daily driving
