What's a "timming" problem? :slap:

But seriously...I don't know what "the distibuter wont life to spin to time it" means.

i have never timed the car. he says its frozen, to my knowledge you pull up and twist to time it, he said its frozen to the plate, does that make sense at all? sorry i was in a hurry when i typed this

You don't have to pull up and twist...you just loosen the nut, and turn the distributor. If it won't turn, you'll have to break it loose somehow. I don't know the best way to do that...I've never seen one frozen. I would think a good solid rap with a hammer on the edge of the base plate (not a smash...just a solid rap) should break it loose.

Good luck!

The mechanic said he did that, and could not break it loose, any other idea's

I don't know...maybe spray a little PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench around the base and lit it sit for a while? Just a guess.

yeah. use some penetrating lubricant and let it sit, you dont want to break the head off the bolt and make matters even more complex.
