Timing Mark?
I tried to set the timing today, but I think that the timing mark on the eccentric pulley shaft has worn off because I can't seem to find it. I've got a spare 13B lying around and I couldn't find the mark on that either. So my question is, is there anyway to re-establish the timing mark. I don'tknow if this will help but my car has a 13B as well.
Thanks in advance Ark 1 |
the marks are cut into the pulley you might need to clean it good to see them.

Are the marks only found on the pulley closest to the pointer, or are they located in more than one area of the pulley?

Yes, been there. The yellow mark and red mark get worn. Which, I never was sure -- go on the leading one or pick the best you can get between the leading and trailing?
Anyways, try what worked on my Harley flywheel for timing: your 'Ol Lady's red fingernail polish. Brightens that mark right up. And, if she actually has yellow fingernail polish, too, well then you got quite a woman. Seamus |
