I need to make an amendment to what I said earlier about the amount of turns out the idle adjust screw was...I was only counting 1/2 turns, so in actuality it was about 7-7/12 turns out. Now, I put in the 65f9's and got it down to about 4 1/2 turns...so I'm going to be ordering 70F9 and 75F9 just in case the 70's don't work.
Since we're on that topic, where does everyone get their stuff from? There's only one place I know of in town, and they are geared toward VW's, and the 65F9 was the largest idle jet they had. Websites I have are: www.piercemanifolds.com www.webercarbsdirect.com Also, I was thinking about getting one of those synchrometers to get everything tuned precisely. Any suggestions/comments on those?? ive never ordered from weber carbs direct |

So you suggest that I bore the hole wider and save myself money??? I've never really tuned a carb so I think that tool may come in handy. I can tell when the engine doesn't like how I adjusted it but I'm not so confident in minor adjustments.

Well I was just in the garage doing the drilling to the jets, and tuning from the engine bay. After adjusting the idle jet screws a little, I hit the throttle from the engine bay to check it out...and the throttle cable got stuck behind the throttle stop screw for about 5 seconds pegged. 95% sure I just blew my engine.
SO A NEW QUESTION! Will this carb setup handle a half bridge 13b?!?! :D |

I'm not sure really. It wont start anymore. I was pretty disappointed in myself when I did it so I havent really gone in there to investigate.

you probably broke the rotor return springs:lol::lol::lol:

Well I just went back out there, sprayed some carb cleaner down it and it finally started up. Maybe it got flooded, I dunno. It's definitely not as easy to start now, but it starts, and runs, and doesn't sound terrible.
