tII alternator mod q

ok i know theres been a few threads and even a nice pic of how to setup the tII alternator in a 1st gen, but im still wondering about the fuseblock. a few guys said its a must to run the 2nd gen fuseblock but then a few guys didnt. whats the answer here? my alternators shot in my 85 gsl and im either going to have it rebuilt or go buy a new tII one.
thanks for the help

I've been running a T2 alt. with the stock fusible links for a year now without any problems.

I beleive the stock main fuse link is rated at 80 amps :)

I imagine that will be ok... On my swap I got the current 3 pos fuseblock, but where I put the battery in the back I got a 120A manually resetable circuit breaker for the car :) Only thing I couldnt fuse was the wire to the starter, which is wrapped in 3/4" heater hose :)

well i got the biotch in. everything fit fine including the spacer for some reason. i know the owner before me had the one before it installed at rotary performance so maybe they already did the conversion? pics if anyone wants em but i dont see why since nothing needed to be modified
