thinking about a blow through holley...

any thoughts or tips on it? Im running a bridgeport 13b with a camden and a holley 650 right now.

I've thought more and more about getting a huge turbo and doing the holley. BUT the thing that stays my hand is all the other things I'd have to get to put that power to the road ie Tii transmission and a rigorous rear end. The scales for me always tip back to being satisfied with 8 or so pounds of boost on the Hitachi.

Maybe one day I'll set up a car to handle 500hp, but till then the 250 or so that I have is more than plenty on my FB.

I am thinking the next thing is a peripheral port N/A 12A engine for my little car that can't handle much more than 250hp. :D

i'd take 8 pounds. i think that's what codeblue was running, and that was a beast of a car! i'm just done with the camden, but want to use parts i have on hand as much as i can.

I guess try it and report back.

there's an absolute archive of info as to why the holley sucks, but everybody always comes back to the bright idea of using one.

You don't have the original Nikki on hand?

I didn't like my eldelbrock. Fuel slosh was a mother. Is the Holley mounted properly on the Camden to avoid fuel slosh?

I wouldn't be satisfied with 8 pounds using a carb that could potentially do 20 or more. I think I'm near the edge of the nikki's fuel delivering capabilitys, but a Holley.... the sky is the limit.

Big turbo big holley and a MASSIVE clutch, transmission, and rear end. At that point who cares about fuel slosh. The only thing you'll have to worry about is tearing your engine apart with tourque.

Why not blow through an IDA? The nitrophyl floats are becoming more common and cost around 50 bucks.

they are otherwise simple to boost prep.

As for fueling potential of the nikki, that's one thing I'm currently working on, to include extended fuel bowls...

My solution for increased fueling potential of the Nikki is to mod the top of the seats to create a nice funnel shape in the brass and add individual 1/4" lines from the mallory to the Nikki. I might even repurpose the return line into a 3rd send line.
