Sweet 7

This rx7 is really sweet..

i was wondering, about how much would it cost (or would you pay) to make a stock '84 look like this?

.:Adam GS:. 04-05-02 07:47 PM

For a starter, where can i get these tail lights, and that cool "RX-7" center piece?

riffraff 04-05-02 07:48 PM

looks like a custom hood job.. that and a wing and paint job.. should not be that expensice.

taillight, you can do with a bit of spray paint. center piece kinda looks like a cut down version of the 79-80 finishing plate.. not sure were to find either of those anymore

SilverRocket 04-05-02 07:49 PM

It's just got paint, wheels and some wing, no big shiz. Personally I don't like it stripes or that kinda wing, but that's me.

It's probably an SE, cause those wheels aren't available for 4x110, at least in North America, unless they're custom drilled or he used spacers or something

Taillights are DIY, and shitty IMO. Centerpiece is an old school aftermarket piece, you could maybe find one on e-bay or whatever

Personally, I wouldn't make my car look like that if you payed me.

gonzz 04-05-02 09:35 PM

Directfreak 04-05-02 09:53 PM

Not my style, but is that hood vented?
I am curious, as I might want to do the same.

riffraff 04-05-02 10:06 PM

no idea if it is functional or not, but looks vented.

Smeagol 04-05-02 10:11 PM

I used to have one of those aftermarket back "RX-7" pieces but sold it on eBay for like $75. Personally I think they look a little silly.

Directfreak 04-05-02 10:16 PM

or even this Vented hood. Where;s the kit for it?

riffraff 04-05-02 10:20 PM

Max7 04-05-02 10:34 PM

8000RPMzEZ 04-05-02 10:55 PM

That vented hood that Directfreak posted is off a Nissan 280zx turbo. Can easly get one from a U pull it yard... only like 4 boltz.

Rice Hata 04-05-02 11:02 PM

Looks like the first hood posted with the two vents is just a normal 7 hood with 2 z3 style fender slash cut molds molded into his/her current hood. (You can buy just the molds to make your own z3 fenders, and it looks like he/she just bought those molds and had them molded into his/her hood. Hope that made sense.

BadAssRX-7 04-05-02 11:21 PM

its on mazspeed, was car of the mt a few mts back

adssoccer 04-06-02 01:32 PM

i wonder if it's as fast as it looks. with just a pacesetter exhaust, i wouldn't think so. but i kinda like it anyway, except for the interior.

Pittdp 04-06-02 09:41 PM

The paint looks really nice if the stripes and wing were not on the car

MIKE-P-28 04-07-02 10:52 AM

Car looks good to me, I dont like stripes, and the wing is OK. :) But you know, im old school.

Does anyonr really think those vents are gonna do anything or much of anything?

riffraff 04-07-02 10:54 AM

doubtful.. the hood is a really low pressure area for us. so possible it will alow a little bit of heat to escape, but i would not count on it doing much more than that.

itzweapon 04-07-02 11:14 AM

No it does not bother me that much. It just seems that all the mindless classes I took in school are useless now in this new internet dialog. I still remember being repremanded for using "ain't" Now bad grammar is part of our lives and thust into the mainstream. "He's got game" has to be my pet peeve now. Actually the entire misuse of the word "got" has me worked up. In a way I hope this slang keeps on evolving, it may make the job market a little more steady for those of us who "g0t MaD SkIlZ"

85rx7blue 04-08-02 06:24 PM

That beige rex is really nice.
