Swapping plastic cover of clock

G'day,

I have an '82 with the analogue clock - the one in the car is busted, and I have another working one to swap it with, but it has a cigarette burn on the plastic cover. The original plastic cover is fine. I wondered if anyone had ever swapped these and could offer some advice?

There are four little metal strips that are bent over the plastic to hold it there and bending them back seems to be the only way. Is there any adhesive under the plastic?

I just don't want to end up with two broken clocks :) If its too hard I guess I can live with the cigarette burn.

Cheers

This was easier than I thought, just had to knock back two of the metal clips and the plastic came up, no adhesive. I polished the plastic with some wax before reattaching, looks like new.
