swapping e brake cables
how hard is it to swap out the drum brake e brake cable for the disk brake one?..

I don't think it can be done... as neither would fit on each other. the disk e brake cable is longer than the drum ebrake cable, and has a different end on it. I thought the same that I could put a disk brake rear on a drum brake rear car and still use the same e brake cable, but the cables wouldn't work.... or atleast thats how I remember it.
As far as putting a new cable on its pretty straight foward, as long as you have the right stuff. Just make sure the end of the cable you have just taken off matchs the end of the new cable you are about to put on, and then the new cable would just need to be adjusted. |
i think u got me confused

you need the rear section of the parking brake cables from the disk rear end when you do the conversion,,,the cable separates on both sides of the car in the same area as the fuel pump location
