Supercharge...

Ok, so me anf my girlfriend both have 7's now..... She wants to turbo hers so... I want to be different I geuss..... IMO the Camden s/c sux.

I want to go with a lysholm type supercharger AKA Whipple, But I'm not sure how much flow vs boost I will need to hit my 250-300hp goal.... I'm also not sure about the exhaust to use.

I know most people on here seem to hate s/c with a passion, please don't say I should go turbo instead, I thought about it alot and was considering a turbo for awhile.

I will be getting the engine rebuilt w/ sp & efi. I was just wondering if anyone could give me reccommendations on what else the engine will need during the rebuild to hit my goal. I will be upgrading the radiator and oil cooler.

Also how much boost do you guys think it will take to get to my goal ? I will be using a water-air IC for the s/c, although I realise heat soak will mos likely be a problem.

Last question, wht type of exhaust should I get, do you think the RB SP one will be enough or will I need a custom exhaust ?

Thanks

im running a camden supercharger on my car and no they are not as bad as they say if proper tunning cooling is done im running bigger pulleys so i can make more power my sc is running 13 psi and im making 275 hp i have a coolingmist set up for cooling the charge and a blackmagic 180 fan the efi is is a trw side draft style with two tll injectors and another 2 injectors on the adaptor piece from the charger this adaptor piece sits on top of the charger and the ijectors also serve as cooling for sc i have a microtec lt8 for standalone and i can tell you everything runs great. so the myth that camden sucks that is what it is a myth just proper tunning and cooling and you should have your goal.

did you do any work on the exhaust or not ? also what kind of s/c does the camden kit use, I now whipples are nearly as good at a turbo for top end, not quite but close, and slightly better than an Eaton roots type on the low end...
