heh, i was waiting for somebody to say something about the rim... now for those of you who don't know... this is one area where the FC's have us beat big time. That is the STOCK! fc spare tire. the one i got when i got the fb was all rotted out (there was water in the bin) so i figured i'd grab the one from my FC which i crashed a while ago. pretty sweet, isn't it?
(I have another one that will soon be on my wall as decoration) :D |
You gotta be kidding!! THats the STOCK spare from an FC???? I gotta get me one of those.
BTW, nice job so far. |
Gezz, caulk galore. What are you using, just standard white silicone bathroom caulk?
|
yep, just your standard caulk. One reason I used so much of the stuff is because I was using a jigsaw to cut the entire thing, and I didn't make the most straight cuts in the world, so there was quite a bit of a gap in a lot of places... :-/ anyway, in new news...
I WON A ROCKFORD FOSGATE AMP!!!! off of e-bay, so no crappy sony amp for me (too bad i'll probably blow out the subs...) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3096500203 :D |
not bad for the beginnings of it
|
thx, all i have left really is to carpet the whole box once i finish up that other side (And carpet the inside of the car) and wire it all up and i should be good to go! :D thumpity bumpity in my lil car :D
|
BTW, The FC 4 bolt spare tire only bolts up to the GSL-SE' - Just FYI.

I know that directfreak. I plan in the future to convert to a GSL-SE suspension, since mine is close to on its way out. Most bushings are pretty cracked, and the drivers side springs are sagging a little.
|
yes, i also caulked the inside (as shown by the half that is not completed) and i will be heading to an auto store to pick up auto carpet :D
don't worry guys... this is gonna look sweet once i'm done ;) |

and the saga continues...
I've been VERY sick for the past week or so ::read flu + sinus infection:: but my amp came in today so I was ambitious. I have finished the basic construction of my sub box, and of course, here are some pix. http://www.members.tripod.com/da_n64_man/rx-7/system12 http://www.members.tripod.com/da_n64_man/rx-7/system13 http://www.members.tripod.com/da_n64_man/rx-7/system14 (tripod sucks so that's why the third one is messed up) I got those grille's from www.allelectronics.com for like $3.00 each :D I'll be headed to the auto store in the next few days once I catch up on some work, and feel a bit better, I'll get the carpet for both the box and my hatch! (black, of course ;) ) |
Pretty much done, just need to carpet the box (and maybe throw some carpet in the back, but I kinda like how it looks now) SOUNDS GREAT!!! :D
