Strut/spindle swap

Hello, I did a search but I didn't find anything concrete. Are the FA55-34-910A strut's spindles big bearing or small? I can take measurements if someone has them to compare to and If I know where to measure. What I'm trying to do is swap these strut casings out with what I have currently which is SA struts with 84 (non-GSLSE) calipers. It appears all I need to buy are new bearings.

Thank you.

Edit: I just looked at the parts fiche for all the different years and it looks like 34-910a just means strut assembly.. I'll try to provide measurements tonight.

Edit again: I'm a big dope. looking closer the FA55 is the important part and points toward 12a which I assume is small bearing.

Edit again:
Found the answer from the man himself.

there are three basic strut/spindle assemblies for the Rx7.

79-80, these are all the same, small bearing

81-83, small bearing. the strut tube gets shortened, i think the SA struts are ~14" and the FB is ~13"

84-85, big bearing. same short length as the 81-83.

there is actually a 4th housing, the upper model JDM cars had an 8 way adjustable shock, that came in its own housing with a dial for stiffness, pretty neat for 1983.
So now the question is rotors. Can I reuse my 83 rotors and just swap out the bearing?

larger bearing, larger inner bore of the rotor.

I think I have a spare lightly used set of GSL-SE front rotors in my basement in Knoxville if you need them. Not sure what all parts you're using here though – the bolt pattern is 4x114.3 of course

FA55-34-910A are 1984-1985 12A BIG Bearing. The 1983 stuff will not work. You will need to the 1984-1985 12A rotors/bearings.

Thank you all.. I slowly came to the realization this was the case after I made this post and studied a few more sources. Thank you all for your time. This thread may be closed or removed.

derSchwamm, thank you for the offer but at present I'm not looking to move to a different lug pattern.
