Strut opps

It took about an hour to change the strut assembly. We forgot to line up the arrow. The one on top of the strut visable when you open the hood of the car. What can I do to fix this? I have a 83 gls.

Thanks

theres only one thing you can do....take them off and turn them. its actually not that hard to do. it wwas at first for me, but after doing is 12736 times i can have them off and back on in no time. the hardest part is getting them back on the control arm.

take off the top nuts. then just turn the steering wheel lock to lock(?) to remove the bottom nuts. all the way one way, then after that nut is off all the way the other way. thenall you have to do is step on the control arm and pull it out. youll have to work with it a little but itll slip right out. then slide the top back in and step on the control arm again to get it back on the control arm. practice makes perfect:)

Position is listed in the FSM. Each position will change caster/camber. Jack the car up, put it on jackstands, remove the wheel. Then remove the 4 top bolts, put foot on hub, push down, turn strut top.

Link to the FSM is in my sig. Positions are listed in the Steering section, 10A, p. 13-14 of the 85 FSM.
