strange noise
 

Hey, was starting my car today "1985 GSL SE, 13b streetport" and i was listening to the engine and when i would rev up to about 2400 and let it climb back down right at about 2400 it make these two sorta scratching sounds like "scratch scratch" spaced right together. It would stop after the two, they werent very long and were hard to hear i was listening right over top of the engine like ear almost to the top of the fuel injection area. I did search a little bit and could not find what i was looking for, could someone please inform me of what this is? thanks, im still new to all this.

anyone know what it is?

Just guessing here, check the bearings in the alt, ps, air pump and ac, whichever of those are still one the car.

also. could be the ac clutch. mine starts moving sometimes


could be a bunch of stuff. start diagnosing what trochoid said 1 by 1

alt is new and ac is gone
