stereo > me

okay...

so i tried to install my headunit today. after figuring out how to get the old one out, we started wiring the new one. we found the switch 12v and the constant 12v. wired that to the back of the head unit then ran speaker wire to the rear speakers as they are the only ones that work right now. but. the damn headunit doesnt freaking turn on...

we are goin to best buy tomorrow to see if the thing is bad or not.

Is it grounded and is the inline fuse good?

Whizbang 04-18-06 06:38 PM

yup to the ground. and the fuse has no signs of being burnt out.

I just did my stereo a few weeks ago and the wire that I though was ground, really wasn't. I mounted mine using the existing big mounting thing, so the unit was grounded even without a wire. Get a circuit tester. Fuses don;t always look bad, even when they are.

Always do your own ground! Never rely on the factory ground!!
