Steering Wheel quick-release hub question (wheel spline size)

I'm going to be buying a quick-release hub for my '80 RX-7 race car, but I need to find out the size of the hub (or splines, or whatever it is) for the '80 (or all FB's are probably the same). Anyone know what size it is?

Pull it apart and measure it? Or is the car a daily driver?

Yes, also Momo's (steering wheels) website allows you to send an e-mail to them, to ask them a question... they can probably help.

Momo is headquartered in Italy, so you should probably stick with straightforward English, to help in case they need to translate your question into Italian..? :)

I bought a Troyer quick release hub from I/O Port racing (www.ioportracing.com). They come in 5/8 and 3/4 and have to be welded onto the shaft. I bought the 3/4 and it was too big, so I stuck in some random piece of thin wall tube to sort of shim it out, then welded away. I think the 5/8 would have been just right.

I looked and looked and couldn't find any that would fit right on the stock splines. I'm very happy with mine in the race car, but it's not exactly a thing of beauty.
