Stainless Brake Lines
 

Came home to a Summit Racing box. My stainless steel braided brake lines had come in from Russel Performance Parts. 89.88 + 8.95 handling. Too bad they're for a fricken Miata. So, had to send them back. Probly will be another month before I get the right ones in. Any case, if you guys want some from summit, the CORRECT PN is RUS-685550, Summit was off by 1 number. 81-85 RX-7 w/ rear disk is what they fit.

Anyone using the Ford high temp brake fluid? I asked a friend of mine who races a 79 T/A, a 93 Mustang, and a 95 Cobra R, and that's what he uses. I figure I'll give it a try.

go for the synthetic valvoline ... i find it better ... and is rated at a higher temp ... and if also woundering, it is compatible with with dot3 and dot 4 fluids so you don't have to flush your system completely and clean it out.

Well, I plan on flushing the entire system anyway, just because I don't know how old the fluid is, and it's been heated a few times :)

I use Castrol LMA in my IT car and my dd. Great stuff. And much cheaper than the alternatives. Also I have read many times that Ford heavy duty brake fluid is a cheaper alternative to hi buck racing fluids.

Might as well go with the ford then, since I autox occasionally, and i don't have enough $$ to turn it into a track car yet. Unless I can find the Castrol for a decent price.
