Staggered wheel setup on SA
 

who has run a larger wheel, width and diameter on the back on there SA , stock , or lowered, and how did it handle?

found another thread I missed on first search , i suppose a little more understeer would be the result .

I've always run slightly fatter tyres at the rear and have always been happy with the way it handled. if you were to go staggered maybe 16"x7" fronts and 17'x8"s at the rear, would look pretty tough I reckon.

I have 17x8's up front and 17x9's out back with 225 and 245 width, 35 series tires respectively.

It doesnt affect handling as far as I can tell,it was mostly an asthetic choice and a futile attempt to put down the power better.Although Im sure its helping compared to 225's all around,I still get loads of tire spin in the lower gears and I dare not apply full throttle when mid-turn.

Is steering pretty heavy at low speeds with such fat tyres upfront?

Im running an R&P steering kit,so its tough to say if its harder than the stock box,which I havent had since about 04'.
I also run a thick FD steering wheel,so I get a good grip and decent leverage with it. Its not "hard" at all to steer,but its been well over a decade since my car had stock tires/wheels and steering at the same time,so Ive kinda forgotten what that used to feel like.
