Spec7 exhaust recommendations

Hey everybody I'm new,but have lurked for a while. I have an 84 rx-7 turned into a spec 7 race car (scca). I found a website with flowmaster mufflers on clearance for my car for $80. Any opinions on sound quality (harshness),free flow ability, durability etc. I need to keep the noise down,as my neighbors aren't estatic about hearing my car when I come home at 2am. Thanks for anybody who could help

I have yet to hear a rotary with a flowmaster on it, that didn't sound like a weed-eater on steroids. A freind has one on his 79, I hate the way it sounds almost as much as he does, but it has held up for over a year.
Few neighbors like hearing racecars at 2am, even when they have mufflers on them.

You might have better luck asking this question in the Race Car Tech section. Also check the rule book, I don't know if there are any restictions on exhaust mods or not.

Goolgle search Spec-7 & you should come up with some info. South Pac Division started the class in IIRC 1994. Being that Spec-7 is a momentum class you can't afford to give anything away through exhaust. You need maximum diameter pipe allowed by rules from the OEM exhaust manifold all the way back with a muffler that just meets the noise requirements.
