Spark plugs

Can I use NGK BR9ES plugs in my 12A? I have some kicking around in the package and I want them to get some use.
Thanks,
Grant

P.S. just drove my first RX7 today, it seemed kind of underpowered and wouldn't idle, I'm now trying to get it to start again after using carbv cleaner on it.

those are good plugs. you dont have to worry about them as long as they are in good condition.

BR9ES? What engine did these come stock on? Or were they an optional cooler heat range plug?

I've seen EQ, ET, EM, and EV. I think the ES plugs came on the 808, or the 1.272 liter inline 4, didn't they?

Actually they are from my Bike (1983 RZ350 yamaha). I just went out and bought the "factory" NGK plugs at $10 a pop, ouch! Anyway it is starting much easier and almost idling. I think I will switch to the single electrode BR9ES plugs in the future. Oh and it's a GS with a 12A.
Thanks,
Grant

From what I've heard the quad-electrode plugs are better for the rex, but I may be wrong I'm still kinda new here but I'm sure someone will post about it

I agree. You should use BR8EQ-14 in your 12A if it's '81-'85. If it's older, I'm not sure which plug to use. You might have a vacuum leak.
